You can’t outrun family, and that marks the central theme of “The Glass Castle,” the adaptation of the best-selling memoir by Jeannette Walls, that will offer a bit of counter-programming this summer.

Brie Larson takes the lead role, reteaming with “Short Term 12” director Destin Daniel Cretton, in the film which tracks Walls’ wild upbringing and how she reconciled with it as an adult.
