Netflix has just released the first trailer for Jeremy Rush’s film “Wheelman.” The film stars Frank Grillo as a getaway driver who is, surprise suprise, double crossed and must drive to survive. While it doesn’t sound like the most original plot, Grillo is always a welcome presence and the film will be, at the very least, action packed. The official synopsis reads: Frank Grillo (Kingdom, Captain America: Civil War) stars as the wheelman, a getaway driver thrust into a high stakes race-to-survive after a bank robbery goes terribly wrong. Frank Grillo might be the next megastar, as unlikely as you might think it sounds. The actor features in “Wolf Warriors 2,” which is on track to become the biggest blockbuster at the Chinese box office ever. Meanwhile, he leads the upcoming sci-fi spinoff “Beyond Skyline,” and this fall, he buckles up for Netflix‘s “Wheelman.” The actor has his fingers in a lot of different pies, and the first taste of the latter movie has landed. With the release date for “Bad Boys For Life” pushed back to November 9, 2018 it means that director Joe Carnahan has some time on his hands as he waits for Will Smith‘s schedule to clear up. And so, he’s decided to put another project on his plate, and it’s a big one. The director and production company XYZ Films have announced today that Carnahan will helm the brewing remake of Gareth Evans‘ blistering action pic “The Raid,” replacing Patrick Hughes  (“The Expendables 3“).
